Sawaya Values Award Winner – Interview with Lorii Rabinowitz – RESPONSIBILITY 2012
Lorii Rabinowitz is the Sawaya Values Award winner of Responsibility for the month of March.
Lorii works full time for 9news and finds time to serve on the board of directors for Project Angel Heart. She has volunteered and been on the board since 2006. Lorii recently took on the task of running Project Angel Heart's capital campaign, which endeavors to raise $7 million which will help the program quadruple the number of people it's currently serving.
One would think with a full time job and all that Lorii does with Project Angel Heart, there is no way she would have time for anything else, but she somehow makes time. Lorii also, is an apointee of Denver Drug Strategy Commission, a member of the Media Advisory Council for the Downtown Denver Partnership, and a volunteer with Urban Peak. If even that's not enough, Lorii recently volunteered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Rocky Mountain Arthritis Foundation, Goodwill Youth Membership Program, and the American Heart Association. From the nominator "Her infectious positive energy, strong leadership and passion for Project's Angel's mission, made it abundantly clear to staff, that progressive growth was happening, challenging goals were being met and that members of Project Angel Heart staff and board were all a part of something very special and important."
