Travis Barbarick was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the youngest of three children and comes from a family of public school teachers.
Travis went to undergraduate school at the University of Central Missouri where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in political science. He was the captain of the wrestling team, a four year letter winner, a 2x qualifier for the National Tournament, and 3x Academic All-American.
After college, Travis became the director of the Raymore-Peculiar Youth Wrestling Club for two years. He then went back to school and graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.
While in school he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge George W. Draper III at the Missouri Supreme Court, then spent his last semester at the Missouri State Public Defender office in Fulton, MO.
He moved to Denver in 2014 where he worked for Davis & Ceriani, PC as a law clerk and awaited his Bar results. Once he passed, Travis went to work for Lockton Companies as a Private Equity & Corporate Acquisitions analyst.
However, he missed interacting with and helping clients and joined The Sawaya Law Firm in December of 2015.
Travis is a member of the Colorado Bar and the Workers’ Compensation Education Association.
In his free time, Travis likes to take in all Colorado has to offer with his family. He loves golfing, snowboarding, hiking, and anything outdoors. His other interests include yoga, cooking, and everything Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.
