The Sawaya Law Firm Participates in Denver's Veterans Fair

Do you know someone who has served in the military? Chances are you answered “yes.” That is because Colorado is the state with the second highest number of veterans in the U.S., with more than 400,000 military veterans.

Veterans’ disability laws change often, which makes applying for disability complicated. The latest change went into effect in June of 2007, and allows for veterans to obtain legal council when fighting for disability claims. However, many veterans haven’t been informed of changes to their rights or opportunities; thus, the Veterans Fair was born.

Rick Crandall and radio station KEZW started the Veterans Fair, which is now in its third year. This event helps local veterans get their questions answered without standing in hour-long lines at the Veterans Administration offices.

On September 24th, The Sawaya Law Firm joined the VA Hospital, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs office and many more government agencies to answer important questions and offer crucial support to these heroes at the annual Veterans Fair. These role models, who have served us so well, deserve our love and praise!

We’d like to send this special note of thanks to all U.S. veterans for their dedication and self-sacrifice on our country’s and each citizen’s behalf. Thank you for your service, veterans!
