The 2013 Sawaya Values Awards
The Sawaya Law Firm created the “Sawaya Values Awards” to recognize Coloradans who are committed to helping themselves and members of their community reach their full potential. It is based on the values the Sawaya Law Firm believes to be the bedrock of society: Hope, Service, Responsibility, Faith, Honor, Trust, Freedom, Honesty, Integrity, Justice, Truth and Family.
The winner for each month receives a plaque and a donation of $250 to a qualifying charity of their choice. A charity will qualify for donation if they are currently registered as a 501 (c) 3 charity.
This year, Deputy Mark Tracy received the Sawaya Value award for Justice. Deputy Mark Tracy is the School Resource Officer for Chaparral High School in Parker, C.O. He reviews case reports of incidents that occur at the school, mentors students and gives classes on law and law enforcement. He is also an Advisor for the Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post and teaches cadets about making the right decisions. He was named NCO (non-commissioned officer) of the Year in his Reserve Air Force Unit for many reasons, but overwhelmingly because he takes care of those he supervises.
