Stolen Pickup Truck Rams Into Porch of Aurora Home

Denver/Aurora Auto Accidents Attorney

A man in a stolen Ford F-250 crashed into the front porch of a home in Aurora, just blocks away from where he sideswiped a school bus filled with children.

The man was uninjured in the crash, and got out of the vehicle and immediately began to flee. A few witnesses to the crash proceeded to chase the man down and hold him in place until the police arrived.

Before crashing into the home, the driver struck a Roca Fuerte Learning Academy school bus filled with 17 students. None of the students were treated for any injuries. The driver then continued driving after impact with the bus and crashed into several parked cars.

The chase began when police attempted to stop the driver for running a stop sign at the intersection of East 14th Avenue and Beeler Street, but he took off when the sirens turned on.

Police say the truck had been reported as stolen several weeks ago. No information on the identity of the driver or exact charges has been released yet.
