For over 15 years, the Matthew Shepard Foundation has been standing up for the rights of the LGBT community. The Matthew Shepard Foundation’s longstanding mission is to erase hate by replacing it with understanding, compassion and acceptance. Through local, regional and national outreach, they empower individuals to find their voice to create change and challenge communities to identify and address hate that lives within their schools, neighborhoods and homes.
This evening, October 8, 2016, The Sawaya Law Firm was honored to support the 15th annual Matthew Shepard Foundation Gala, hosted at the Westin Downtown. Gathering to recognize the people who make a difference in the lives of the LGBT community, both locally and internationally, was a proud moment for the firm. Throughout our 40 years of serving Colorado, we have always believed in diversity, human rights, and the invisible language written into the social contract, that binds us together and compels us to care and love one another.
Our senior partners, Richard Rose and Katie McClure, were in attendance with their families. We had fun at the photo booth, and helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for this extremely important cause. The Sawaya Law Firm is proud to support the communities in which we live and serve. To learn more about the Matthew Shepard Foundation, please click here.
