The Sawaya Law Firm Supports City Park Jazz for Another Amazing Year!

Sawaya Law Firm City Park Jazz

On Sunday, for the umpteenth year in a row, the Sawaya Law Firm came out to City Park to show love and support for one of Denver’s cultural treasures, the City Park Jazz Concert Series.

The City Park Jazz Summer Concert Series draws on a historic tradition that began more than 130 years ago. Photographs of City Park from the turn of last century offer scenes of ladies in fine hats and gentlemen in their Sunday best. They strolled around Ferril Lake and rested on the lawns while listening to concerts at the City Park bandstand. The current series began as a just a handful of jazz concerts in 1986. Each year since, thousands of fans of all ages, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds (over 80,000 guests in 2011!) descend upon the bandstand to enjoy the special combination of music, nature and community.

The Sawaya Law Firm is proud of our commitment to the neighborhoods and communities in which we practice and serve. Sponsoring City Park Jazz is a no-brainer for our firm and for Denver native, Michael Sawaya. Mr. Sawaya himself was on hand last Sunday, to thank the crowd for supporting music (he is a musician himself) and to reminiscence on his time growing up in Denver and the joys of bringing large groups of people together to have a good time.

Our staff was also in attendance as well as a few clients, who enjoyed free food from amazing local vendors, good music from Los Bohemios, and free giveaways in our branded tent. Our free, branded hot sauce, Trial By Fire, was a crowd favorite. Thanks to everyone who showed up to get down with us and we’re looking forward to next year!
