The Sawaya Law Firm Awards - Resemblance Stars

Hollywood. They can take a {true} story and turn it into silver screen gold! Get a couple big name actors and actresses, add a little drama and spice to a story, and you’ve made yourself a cool million or more. Sometimes, it’s hard to ignore the uncanny resemblance talent are able to achieve when compared to their the real life counterpart; and other times it’s hard to get past the blatant disregard to even come close to looking the part! Here are a few political and law related recreations we thought did an impeccable and poor job with their leads – Check it out:

1. Erin Brockovich

Erin Brockovich — Actress: Julia Roberts

We give this one an 8 out of 10 Resemblance Stars. Costuming along with hair and make-up played a large role in creating this character, but we get the gist! Thank God current day Brockovich (pictured) toned down the hair and found a real shirt!

2. Evelyn

Desmond Doyle – Actor: Pierce Brosnan

3 out of 10 stars for the complete lack of resemblance in physical features and lack of epic beard…they definitely tried to Hollywood-up Desmond’s looks and we aren’t buying it!

3. Changeling

Christine Collins – Actress: Angelina Jolie

Once again incredible costuming for this period piece – While they did glamourize Christine we can still see the resemblance and grant this 7 out of 10 Resemblance Stars!

4. Beyond the Law

Dan Saxon – Actor: Charlie Sheen

Saxon is an undercover agent…we have NO idea what he actually looks like — We give this 0 Resemblence Stars!

5. Helter Skelter

Charles Manson – Actor(s): Steve Railsback (1976) & Jeremy Davies (2004)

While these two actors give Manson a slightly more Grizzly Adams look, we still think it’s a close match-up. These two could play each other in each other’s film adapted autobiographies…but because they didn’t quite get the crazy we give them 8 out of 10 Resemblance Stars.

6. Monster

Aileen Wuornos – Actress: Charlize Theron

We saved the best for last – Charlize Theron a Hollywood bombshell is unrecognizable as Aileen Wuornos. In a photo lineup you are unable to decipher who is who; talk about a transformation. Kudos to Charlize for really diving in — 10 out of 10 Resemblance Stars for Charlize!
