Hit-and-Run Accident Leaves Denver Woman Dead

Multiple reports describe a horrific seen that rattled the community. Several bystanders witnessed the accident, and reported that the collision victim, Laura McDermott, landed 200 feet from the initial point of contact. The woman’s boyfriend was extremely distraught after he witnessed her get struck by the vehicle.
Currently, the police have no description of the driver, and the only information known is the car involved was a tan or beige sedan. Witnesses said the car was full of people, and it was obvious they had been drinking. There are reports of passengers from the car throwing beer bottles outside of the car onto South Broadway before the accident.
