The Great Turkey Giveaway

A warm meal with the ones you love most is a highlight of the holiday season. And what is Thanksgiving without a juicy turkey to share with your family and friends?! Certainly, not a Thanksgiving we want to hear about! On November 23rd, 2016, The Sawaya Law Firm set out to give 400 families a turkey to enjoy with those that mean the most to them. At 10:00am Sawaya Staff met up at Mi Pueblo Market in Thornton to get things set up — Staff members filled 400 bags with turkeys, cups, coupons, soda, and more for community members to enjoy!

Men, women, and children came from near and far after hearing about the turkey giveaway. Families began lining up outside Mi Pueblo Market 2 hours before the giveaway was set to open — They brought lawn chairs, blankets, and hot coco, all in preparation to get a turkey to enjoy on Thanksgiving! The looks on their faces as they walked out the door with their turkeys was priceless.

Michael Sawaya himself even showed up to hand turkeys out and meet the families in line. Michael had this to say about the spirit of Thanksgiving, “I am very thankful for all our great clients, past and present, who continue to teach us and to comfort us with their good will”! The Sawaya Law Firm is proud to support the communities in which we live and serve. To find out more about our fundraising activities as a law firm, visit the In Our Community page.
