Through the month of November the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (DBC) will be collecting supplies to send overseas to our Troops — This charity was brought to our attention after one of our employees sent an email to our staff, asking if anyone would be interested in donating items. We quickly realized that we employee and work with several veterans; a few that even received a box from the DBC while serving overseas. Through their testimonies of how much each of these care packages meant to them, we knew we had to participate in a larger way!
What Exactly is Cheer for the Troops?
The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders started Cheer for the Troops in 2007. Cheerleaders collected, boxed, and shipped supplies and Christmas gifts to a small group of Colorado Soldiers. Every year the tradition continued and grew as the Cheerleader’s co-workers, friends and families started to donate supplies.
Last year thousands of pounds of hygiene, food, and fun items were collected. The program grew so much that the organization “Colorado Supporting Our Troops” stepped in to help pack and distribute items to units most in need. And Freddy’s Restaurants have become official drop-off locations!
Our Part:
Through, The Sawaya Law Firm Foundation, we were able to give a donation to the DBC. With our donation they went shopping to purchase many items on the list of supplies needed! Calling cards, baked goods, books, DVDs, hygiene items, and so much more! If you or someone you know may be interested in donating to the cause you can click, here, for a list of items needed and drop off locations. If these locations aren’t convenient you can drop your items at our Ogden office location — We’ll get them where they need to go for you!
